What is differential. Math? Science? Is it a difficult story?

Differentiation is generally considered to be a'difficult story'. It is often referred to as a typical concept far from everyday life. Even the math teacher said this. 'Is it useful to learn differentiation?' 'Would you like to solve the differential equation when calculating change in the supermarket?' It is the'differentiated useless theory'. Differentiation and integration were just subjects to learn to go to college. However, while studying engineering, I learned that differential is an important concept for understanding this world. Besides, I also learned that people basically live by differentiation. What is the differential?

Differentiation is simply the instantaneous rate of change.

It is a numerical representation of the magnitude of a change at any given moment. This number is called the differential coefficient and usually means the slope in the graph. No more mathematical stories will be needed.

Everyone is already calculating the derivative.

You can move on the road and avoid the'very natural' car when the car comes across. You predict the direction and speed of the next moment by looking at the speed and direction of the car facing you. If you look closely, first, you measured the amount of change in the past information, that is, the direction and speed of the vehicle. And you predicted how the vehicle would move in the next moment by predicting the change. So move your body to where you can avoid the collision. It seems to be tremendous, but it is nothing.

In the picture above, the movement of the car is shown below with a red curve in the picture below. If the current direction of movement and speed capture the moment of change, it will be like a blue dotted line. And if this is a graph, the blue dotted line is tangent. Therefore, the differential coefficient is sometimes referred to as the slope of the tangent.

It is possible to predict the future naturally through the flow of past information.

But why can't we predict life's moments well? I will discuss it in the next article.
